The National Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Association for Children today announced the election of Mark Walker and Louis Lucido to its board of trustees.

“We are pleased to add Mark and Louis to our board,” said National CASA/GAL Association CEO Tara Perry. “We will benefit from their perspectives as business leaders. Louis also brings an understanding of local programs through his service to CASA of Los Angeles, where he has been on the board for several years.”

Mark Walker is chairman and CEO of TransLand, a Springfield-based trucking company founded by his parents in 1982. Walker has extensive experience in corporate social responsibility and philanthropy, government affairs, and community affairs management. Among his roles have been executive director of the Applied Materials Foundation, managing director of global community affairs at Applied Materials, and president and CEO of United Way Silicon Valley.

Walker also serves on the boards of the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, Partners in School Innovation, and a private family foundation based in San Jose.

Louis Lucido recently retired from his role as chief operating officer of DoubleLine, LLP, an investment management firm of which he was a founding member. He was previously at global asset management firm TCW, and was chief investment officer for Delphi Financial Group.

Lucido is also on the boards of 826LA and Junior Achievement of Southern California. He is a member of the Dean’s Executive Board of the NYU Stern School of Business.

Walker and Lucido join the existing board of trustees headed by Dr. William Bell, president and CEO of Casey Family Programs.
