Priority Focus Areas

The issues facing children in foster care are tough. We’re paying attention and
taking action where we know a volunteer can make a difference.

Our Work

Addressing key issues

Our network of programs and volunteers follows closely the issues affecting children and families in their communities. National CASA/GAL monitors nationwide trends and tracks pressing issues affecting children who have experienced abuse or neglect. We make sure CASA and GAL volunteers have what they need on the ground to serve America’s most vulnerable children and youth, including those targeted for sex trafficking, affected by the opioid crisis, living with incarcerated parents and preparing to age out of the foster care system.

Preventing Child Sex Trafficking
