Happiest of holidays – a message from our CEO
NEWS
It’s hard to believe 2022 is coming to a close. We have had a jam-packed year and winter is already upon us. We are keeping up the pace as we head into 2023, with many exciting plans to help us increase our impact.
While we look ahead, we are also taking the opportunity to look inward and reflect while we await the returning light. Last year, our 97,000+ volunteers and 939 state and local programs helped advocate for more than 242,000 children who needed a caring adult to walk by their side as they navigated the court system.
We are grateful for all our partners and supporters who have helped us serve the children, youth and families involved in the court system. At the same time, we know we have a long way to go to ensure we have a CASA/GAL volunteer for every child who needs one.
As we celebrate this time of year surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, I hope we will hold in our hearts each child who belongs in a safe, loving, permanent home and who isn’t in that situation this season. We will continue to work tirelessly to advocate for the best interest of children with permanency being the highest goal.
I want to thank each one of you who has helped us along our journey this year. No matter what role you have played, you have been vital to our advocacy for children, youth and their families.
On behalf of our CASA/GAL network, I want to express our gratitude for your partnership and support of this mission, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to expand our impact in 2023 and beyond.
I wish you a very happy holiday season,
Tara Lisa Perry
CEO, National CASA/GAL Association for Children
