National CASA/GAL’s 2024 Mid-Year Impact Report
In the first half of 2024, we have continued advancing our mission of providing best interest advocacy, for children and youth involved in judicial proceedings related to abuse or neglect, so that they can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
The 2024 Mid-Year Impact Report highlights key recent accomplishments, including continuing education for CASA/GAL volunteers and staff through nearly two dozen webinars and interactive training sessions. Programs like our Judicial Perspectives Initiative are crucial in equipping CASA/GAL volunteers with the tools and strategies they need to effectively advocate for children in courtrooms across the country.
Our report also shares the powerful story of Marla, a CASA volunteer who helped reunite two young sisters with their mother after nearly a year in foster care. Marla’s dedication played a vital role in the family’s successful reunification.
As we move into the second half of 2024, we remain committed to expanding training, recruiting new volunteers, and supporting our 941 state and local affiliates. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of children and youth across the country, and we are deeply grateful for the ongoing support that makes this vital work possible.
