Atlanta, GA – The National CASA/GAL Association for Children is pleased to welcome Kristin Mitra as its chief marketing officer. As chief marketing officer, Mitra will be responsible for innovative marketing strategies to build brand awareness, increase volunteer engagement and generate revenue for the CASA/GAL mission. She will be based in National CASA/GAL’s Atlanta office.

“Kristin’s ability to transform marketing execution has been honed across a diverse set of industries including non-profit, management consulting, customer experience, financial services, information management, telecommunications and database services,” says Tara Lisa Perry, CEO of National CASA/GAL. “We are thrilled that she is joining us at this time to help us drive our vision forward.”

Mitra brings over 25 years of experience in both B2B and B2C marketing leadership roles specializing in marketing strategy, brand building and transformational growth. Most recently, she served as the vice president, marketing planning and strategy at the American Cancer Society (ACS) in Atlanta where she led the development of both ACS’ overall marketing strategy and the integrated strategies and plans to ensure all initiative marketing efforts were cohesive, consistent and effective in supporting ACS’s brand, mission and revenue goals. Mitra earned an MBA, with dual concentrations in marketing and general management, from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in politics, graduating cum laude, from Wake Forest University.

“It’s an honor to join an organization with such a powerful mission and a committed network,” says Mitra. “I am looking forward to leveraging my experience to further develop the National CASA/GAL brand and help to advance the mission of this incredible organization.”
