Thank Kappa Alpha Theta for their service

Each year on October 19, members of Kappa Alpha Theta honor their founder, Bettie Locke Hamilton, on her birthday by engaging in service to their communities. Since its inception 10 years ago, the core purpose of Kappa Alpha Theta’s International Day of Service is to do something meaningful and impactful in each community. Thetas participate in a number of service projects, and some seek to partner with CASA/GAL programs across the country.

For more than 30 years, the women of Kappa Alpha Theta have provided critical support for and partnership with National CASA/GAL and our nationwide network of programs. Thetas make lasting contributions as volunteers, board members, financial supporters and passionate ambassadors for the CASA/GAL mission. The fraternity’s more than 140 college-based chapters and 220 alumnae groups are generous supporters of our local programs, on their Day of Service and throughout the year.

I am incredibly grateful for their partnership and their commitment to our mission. The impact that Kappa Alpha Theta has made for National CASA/GAL and programs nationwide is profound. As Thetas participate in this Day of Service, I especially thank them for volunteering with CASA/GAL programs virtually or in-person, exercising the widest influence for good.
