Your support made it possible: a message from our CEO
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As the year draws to a close, I am reflecting on the thousands of children across our country who will spend tonight in foster care—children who have experienced abuse or neglect, who have been separated from their families, and who are navigating one of the most uncertain and vulnerable periods of their lives. In these moments, what they need most is not just a system, but a consistent, caring adult who will stand beside them, listen to them, and advocate fiercely for their best interests.
Because of you, that advocate exists.
This year, nearly 80,000 CASA/GAL volunteers walked alongside more than 200,000 children in foster care, ensuring their voices were heard in court, their needs were recognized, and their futures were not overlooked. Your generosity made it possible to recruit, train, and support these volunteers—ordinary people doing extraordinary work—so that children did not have to face the child welfare system alone. Every step toward safety, every moment of stability, and every child who achieved reunification, kinship care, or another permanent home was made possible through your belief in this mission.
Yet the need remains urgent. Too many children in foster care are still waiting—waiting for an advocate, waiting for permanency, waiting for hope. As we move into the coming year, National CASA/GAL is focused on bold, necessary strategic goals: expanding, strengthening and supporting local CASA/GAL programs, expanding access to high-quality advocacy in underserved communities, accelerating permanency outcomes, and ensuring that every child who needs a CASA/GAL volunteer can have one. Achieving these goals requires sustained investment and partnership.
As we approach year end, I ask you to consider making a gift to support this critical work. Your contribution directly strengthens advocacy for children in foster care—ensuring volunteers are trained, programs are supported, and children are not left without a voice during the most pivotal moments of their lives. Year-end giving is especially powerful, allowing us to enter the new year prepared to meet growing demand and respond to children’s needs without delay.
Your support is more than a donation—it is a lifeline. It is a statement that children in foster care matter, that their futures matter, and that they deserve someone to stand up for them.
Thank you for your generosity, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to children. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and inspired by what we can accomplish together.
Wishing you and your loved ones a season filled with peace, warmth, and connection. I look forward to all we will do together in the year ahead to ensure every child in foster care has a voice—and a path to a safe, permanent home.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Tara Lisa Perry
